actually, to brighten up this dark and small feeling space, i'd look for a creamy base colored stone like khasmir gold or ivory gold, being sure to add an overhang on the island (if you like movement in the stone check out juprana granite) then exchange the pot rack over the island with either a pair of great pendants or a statement chandelier. from my own kitchen remodel experience i'll share you with you this: you'll get a much better price from a granite company then you will from a large home store ;) and be sure to take a cabinet door with you to shop. you can continue the granite onto the wall as a backsplash...they can cut the stone and make it go higher up the wall than the standard 3 inches which can be a great look. but if you really want tile, go for something simple that won't compete with the granite....like a cream colored subway tile. you can apply thim in a running brick pattern or a more modern stacked geometric pattern or even a herringbone. to control staining from food prep, don't use a white grout, use a slightly darker grout color that is inspired from the stone countertop. just remember that using a pattern on the countertop and another pattern on the backsplash can easily become overwhelming and then neither element stands out as the focal point. if you are spending a lot on a granite countertop, do everything you can to make it stand out as the best feature.

Hi Aditi, You have beautiful ethnic style furniture and a spacious drawing room. For this space to look more vibrant and lively here are our suggestions: This being a typical traditional style seating, would like to suggest you to change the upholstery of the current geometric pattern to a plain solid colour. Need to add a combination of printed and plain cushion covers which will give the necessary colour pop, matching the palette of the room. Add a huge area rug to bring in the necessary colour and warmth to the room. Please go for bamboo chick blinds for the window treatment. As this adds up to the ethnic traditional style For the above ideas please visit the link shared, which is on similar lines, and will help you decorate your room and the interiors in a similar. Add some tall plants on all the four corners of your seating space. Also succulents are very in these days For more info on some easy and maintainable house plants please head to our blog that will help choose some for your interiors. It would be great if you can share the picture. Things are clear in a better way when you see them visually.

Yes your right Abhisek it does look a little dull coz the walls are bare and nothing is put together. Once you put up the curtains and add some cushions and a coffee table and place some of ur personal decorative things everything will look put together. Looking at the pic I feel like u want a neutral colour palette so depending on that yes u can go for cream or very light hues of brown like beige or even some pastel colours will look very nice. U don’t have to match everything exactly same colour but try and stay in the same colour with different shades. You can also add one piece of contrast to add that pop of colour so it doesn’t look too pale. Maybe u can try and rearrange ur furniture if possible coz ur sofa seems to be quite far from the tv unit....it’s not necessary to leave the entire passage going to the balcony open...I think u can pull ur sofa a bit closer. I hope am making some sense. 😄 try and add a patterned curtain since rest everything is plain. Attaching a pic for ur reference hope it helps.
