Depending on the budget, you could hack a portion of the wall "closed welcome passage" and put up a wall horizontally by the main entrance (creating a passage way to the living area. The window there should be able to shine a bit of light into the house. Replacing the wall between the living area and garage with Large glass panels would also help brighten up the house. Hello again, after several weeks. I've made an attempt at working on what the house might look like, but I must admit I haven't been able to sort out the structure very well. The levels have me very confused. But it looks as though there might be a ground slope from the right downwards to the left, making the right side of the house higher than the left, so what I've done may make sense from that point of view. I've tried to preserve some of the little decorative pillars, without knowing quite how they worked architecturally to begin with. (You're welcome to laugh!) And I have suggested demolishing the extra upper floor structure on the left, and instead extending the upper structure on the right, which would give you a very big verandah that you could decorate with large plants in pots. Also, the garden gate on the left looks very narrow, but that is the size it was. Anyway, please see this as just an attempt, not as a solution! I hope it's useful.

Please consider this reorganization of the spaces which makes the most off the area available. The dining area is moved from the dark interior to share the same area as the living room, across from the open kitchen counter which would serve as a buffet. The black volumes are false columns faced in stone or marble or any other material of your choosing to give the space some girth. This distribution of the spaces gains you a walking closet for the master bedroom. Its ultimate effectiveness depends on your needs. I hope this is somewhat useful.

Hi Gurdip. How often do you use the parking spaces and do you use both? Is the parking to the left of the camera shot or directly in front of the shutters? I might think about a mural painted on a board on wheels that could be moved ( if you only use one space) as I assume it would be difficult to paint direct. I also think your sofas are lovely! I would be inclined to make a separate seating arrangement with a table with them as they look as if they're trying to disguise the shutters at the moment. The area is lovely but might benefit from some large shrubs and trees.
