I have a pantry and wall oven connected to my cabinets, I'm installing new cabinets and not sure if I should buy a panel of the same color of the cabinets or just paint the pantry the color of my walls ?? Please help !!
Consider using a normal door on the pantry, OR two bifold doors installed as French doors opening out, and painting it (or them) the color of your cabinetry. This will look better when you have the cabinets installed for the wall oven.
Panel door will be more money likely than a regular door but I think it would look nice and visually extend the kitchen. If you paint to match the finish will not be quite the same as the cabinets which will likely be lacquered. Just something to consider.
Is the wall oven new? If it isn't, you should check out the sizes of new wall units. From experience I found it challenging to replace my fridge and get it to fit in existing space. Same issue trying to fit new generation of washer/.dryers. They just are bigger. It may be a waste of effort dealing with the pantry/ wall oven cabinets if it makes more sense to update them with the rest of your cabinets as well as oven. Good luck.
Thank you very much for the advice, I do have a regular door that needs to be cut because the floor is higher now. I guess I can just finish the cabinets and then paint the area and see how it looks. I can always put the panels on after if I'm not satisfied with the look. Thank you again !
