Peeyush , on the contrary this is good for homes with kids. It protects the kids from leaning over . To give you an idea for two steel cables laid 4 inches away can at max stretch further by an inch and that too by a grown up. So if your intention is to have it for kids safety it is a good product . However, for a burglar or fire situation we don't find it a great solution.

Usually a good dealer would guide you through indigenous and imported granite and should be able to tell the pros and cons of each granite based on color and chemical characteristics. Do try Banarghatta road for mid-sized to large dealers e.g. 1. Granite Art 2. Stone League Int. 3. Prem Marbles etc.. Don't visit these ones only.
