Need suggestions for wall behind bed

There is a small rectangular space on the wall above my bed and i wish to decorate it. My room walls are black and i was thinking i could have it texture painted in aqua blue colour to simulate waves on a shore. Any other ideas are appreciated as well.

Is it possible for you to turn the bed around ,in order to avoid this box ? If not paint it the same colour as the wall to make it blend in.

Can you give a picture that gives a wider shot of the room, the bed is offset right now and Genevieve's advice is good. Or you can play on the asymmetry of the space by adding a black and white triptych

I like second plan! That space will fit the wardrobe perfectly. Take all colors from the art. The colors can be lighter or darker than the colors you see in art. Take "Venice" with you to paint store and they might be able to help you choose good colors. Idea: paint four walls the same and see if you like that. If you feel the room lacks interest, then paint the accent wall. Choose a pale green that harmonizes with "Venice" and a darker green accent. Yellow + red accent White + blue accent

Hi Neharika, if that wall is not exposed to water from outside, you could put a wallpaper there, there are beautiful wall boards also available in the market. Textured paint is another option. We could have the same wall paper/board/textured paint on the piller as well. You might have to move idol of Ganesha and picture near the pillar to some other place. Large paintings look better in living area as half of the wall is covered by sofas. In dining area, even if you cover upper half by painting, lower half remains exposed. So full wall needs to be decorated. More queries are welcome :-)

Vijay, 1243 as a base with couple of stripes 8754 should look good here. Just a couple of feedback based on the pics. The headboard should be wider it should touch your lower back while sitting on the mattress. Are we not planning for a fan , don't see a provision. The False ceiling is not in water level it is arched in centre , please recheck. Also recheck if the loft door touches the false ceiling, from the image angle it looks like a close call. I would place random floating black shelves. then you can change out the decor sitting on the shelves whenever you feel like it, or to match a new different colored bedspread in the future.

Have you considered a mural?

We make a
