That's Hosta 'Sum &Substance'. One of the best hosts for garden drama!

This is 'Sum & Substance' and is one of the hostas that can take all day sun - unless the temp is over 90, in which case only morning sun or it will burn. Any hosta with more yellow, lime green or a lighter color can take at least morning sun. All day sun in Zone 4 or less. Sum & Substance will reach 6 to 7 feet across and 4 feet high. The older a hosta is, the larger it will get (depending on the cultivar).

PS Hostas hate heat - it's a fallacy that they must be in shade - unless the temp is over 85 or 90.

I love the pergola. Are the columns 6"x6" and the beams 6"x8"?
