I see a long narrow space with several doors, windows and white furniture. I don't understand the furniture grouping of the sectional and then a lone sofa? The room lacks height (vertical interest). I like this idea: the back wall totally painted a charcoal accent color (including the door) and then, white pottery as an accent. Painting your wall will help shorten the room and make it appear less long and narrow. Leave other doors white. I also like the art in the photo and a few touches of red to give the room a bit of color. I'd have something like the shelving in photo #1, it's less busy than the boxes and easier to keep clean.

Hi Ni, I just thought of something....did you say you planned to do the stencil motifs on the window wall? If so, I am thinking they will be mostly hidden by the curtains. I wonder if it might be better to stencil the long wall that is on the right side of the room when looking toward the window. I could see this being a pretty backdrop to the prayer box (I think that’s what you called it?) and your wood cuttings. Then maybe the opposite wall (the one with the kitchen doorway) could hold a large piece of art?

First of all, I don't think that furniture is comfortable enough to sit and watch TV, so the TV should be remove from that room, the purple wall paper and the purple furniture is too much, you should consider another color for that wall and the furniture against the wall it doesn't look good. What is that room at the end is kind of dark and I cannot appreciate exactly what is the purpose of that room. I'm a firm believer in skylights, we have skylights in the laundry room, kitchen, living room and office, they make a big difference. (if you cannot have skylights (or tube lights) can lights are a great option. There are a lot of great ideas from everyone. I can't wait to see the after photos.
