I have a sitting area cum dining area of 300 sq ft which is adjacent to my kitchen ( 120 sq ft ). Over all colour theme is white and in STRAIGHT LINE. All cabinets in the kitchen are of white colour with grey Italian tiles and Siemens equipments. Have bought off white (leather) seven seater sofa with a coffee table with a frosted green glass top. The area left for the dining is approx 90 sq ft. My questions are : 1. Should i go in for a square dining table with six chairs or eight chairs. What should be the area of the top. 2. Should I go in for a rectangular table with six chairs or eight chairs. What should be the area and size of the table top. Have selected one with an area of 21 sq ft with a frosted green glass top. The fabric on the chair uses is black. 3.should I go in for a round table. What should be the dia or radius. Have selected one six chair Armani casa table with a radius of 2.5 sq ft. It is black in colour. The glass top is also black and the fabric on chair is also black. 4. What will be the best colour combination keeping in view the kitchen, sofa etc in mind. Pl advise.... I

As others have said, it depends on the space. As a child I loved velvet flocked because it was so "touchable" LOL! In my extended family we tend to use the velvet flocked in dining rooms, the foil in bathrooms, and a high quality wallpaper in other rooms. The design is totally reliant upon the space it is being used in. In our Victorian farmhouse most of the rooms have the big roses or hydrangeas appropriate to the period. @corner Stone designs. sorry if I had given an impression it mud slinging. but objectively speaking the suggestion to go for a chimney just because someone asked for it instead of addressing the real issue us not what I intended to do. one has to understand all the negatives as well veggie going in for a decision . just like you have the right to suggest there is nothing wrong in pointing out the issues in the proposed solution. none of us are internet warriors but most of us are "sold" items that we will never need in our life by creating an illusion. I know that dinner call it business but I am not in such one and I have the luxury to call a spade a spade. Even now the person who asked for is not sure in what they want but they think that a chimney will solve the issue. engineering doesn't work that way. unless we know what the real issue us, which isn't clear if it is the smoke or the smell and the your of food cooked, the frequency, the 80/20 utility of the kitchen we are not even close to understanding the problem. my intent is to emphasize the importance of understanding the problem and then look for issue and not provide a ready made solution. we can all suggest something by seeing a picture that fire will come and catch the chef if it is located in the window but do you think that what you say is practical. you may construct this as much slinging be as a novice I have a genuine question. how many houses have such a fire accident. we don't even know if the stove is electric or gas. if it is electric then they just no question of fire. so I encourage you to objectively approach and not see this as a mud slinging thing as that's not the point.

the pictures you see online of glass walls and roofs are those not from India. and the usually have a large property and the home itself is secluded enough to provide privacy. for heat, they have a centrally controlled HVAC system that is on 24x7 to regulate heat and cold, plus the glass is often reflective and double, to provide a modicum of insulation. since you're a resident of Hyderabad, it would be more advisable to have just a skylight or just large french doors and not got for the entire combination. hope this helps
